Last week, Gordana, Kay, Rosie, and Erin made the trip to Coventry for Merch World, the UK’s biggest promotional merchandise trade exhibition. They spent the day meeting suppliers, getting hands-on with new products, and coming back with bags full of ideas (and yes, bags full of samples too).
Putting Faces to Names
One thing every team member mentioned was how good it felt to finally meet the people they’ve been emailing and calling over the years.
“I met new and familiar suppliers and finally put faces to some names,” said Kay. “So many great products and plenty of new inspiration.”
For Erin, it was a chance to reconnect with contacts and introduce herself in her new role. Rosie agreed: “It’s great to put faces to the names and build better relationships.”
What’s New
Merch World is where we spot what’s coming next. Gordana came back excited about advances in production, including tote bags that can now achieve edge-to-edge printing and new drinkware ranges about to launch. Erin loved the 2-in-1 bags she spotted. Rosie spent time “shopping” for specific clients, keeping an eye out for products that would work for live projects.
Gordana also had productive conversations with account managers about better pricing and sample budgets. These discussions are easier face-to-face.
And Yes, the Free Merch
“The free merch was nice,” Rosie admitted, “because now I’ll see those items and think of those suppliers.”
Gordana agreed: “I came home with a bag full of goodies – it’s the best kind of market research.”
We’ve come back with notebooks full of new products. If you’re planning branded merchandise for 2026, we’d love to share what we found.
