This is Tim, and he’s one of the awesome Account Managers we have here at Swag Pack.
The AMs are your go-to people for all things Swag Pack ; from drumming up ideas and discussing costs through to order quantities and getting your goodies out there.
Tim has been with us since March 2021, and he (and we) haven’t looked back since!
So, as people buy from people, we thought we’d do an introduction to one of our expert team, giving you a little insight into the day-in-a-life of an Account Manager at Swag Pack
Working as an Account Manager involves client and supplier relationship management, something that comes naturally to Tim.
With such a varied role, there’s certainly a lot Tim loves about his job.
“Working with clients who are excited about putting together great packs for their employees or customers is my favourite part.
It’s clear the clients we speak with want to do something nice, and helping get that positive energy out there is something that can’t help but put a smile on your face. Spitballing ideas back and forth with clients until the perfect bespoke pack is created just creates more excitement, and then hearing how well they were received is extremely rewarding.”
With Swag Pack there are seemingly no limits as to what we can brand and box up for you. When it comes to out-of-the-box ideas, Tim loves a challenge;
“I worked with a client who was holding a Summer Kick-Off event. Together we created two packs for their employees to choose from; a hiking pack and a BBQ pack.
The hiking pack contained things like a solar-powered battery pack, travel bag and sun cream, whilst the BBQ kit contained a frisbee, a Bloody Mary kit and even a cast-iron skillet. These items were unusual to get and not simple to brand, but the challenge and uniqueness made the packs really fun to put together.”
Can you give us any insight into some of the projects you’d loved being part of?
“The Adobe and Wiggin projects looked absolutely fantastic. If I could have any of the swag from a previous job I worked on, it would be those. I must like the black a red motif they both had.
The Cambridge Consultants project I am working on is my biggest to date at 850 units, so I am excited to get that out the door, all over the world and to so many people.”
Part of the process with us is of course to work with you to bring your swag visions to life. With that in mind, Tim, what are some of your Do’s and Don’ts for the clients to consider when putting their boxes together?
“Try and think what kind of swag you would like to receive, it’s always a good place to start. If you would like it, it’s likely others would too. Also, a theme always makes a pack seem more cohesive.
Don’t try and cram – that applies to both items and branding. Quality always beats quantity.
When it comes to ordering units it is always cheaper to go over rather than under. It’s always handy to have spare, as more people will want your swag after seeing how good it looks, and ordering small units costs a small fortune.”
