Abbi Coltart is a valued Senior Account Manager at Swag Pack. With her creative background and strong problem-solving skills, she consistently brings new ideas and enthusiasm to every project she works on.
What does your average day look like as a Senior Account Manager at Swag Pack?
Honestly, there is no “average” day for me! My schedule changes based on how busy we are and the day’s priorities. Generally, I spend my time quoting, having calls with clients, and staying in touch with existing and new clients. Every day is different!
What do you enjoy most about your role as a Senior Account Manager?
I love that no day is the same. Over the past year, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects—each different from the last. The variety keeps my work interesting and allows me to learn something new every day.
What inspires you about branding and merchandise?
I come from a creative background, so I thrive on the creative aspects of branding and merchandise. I love when clients say, “I have no idea what I want; tell me what I want.” This allows me to flex my creative muscles and develop unique solutions tailored just for them.
What are the most promising trends or innovations you expect to shape your industry in the future?
Sustainability is huge right now. About 40-50% of our clients ask for sustainable options, and almost every project we work on includes sustainable products. Seeing this shift is impressive; when I started, sustainable options were rare, but now, nearly every item has a sustainable version. I expect sustainability to become even more prominent in our industry over the next six months to a year.
What’s been your favourite or most exciting project to work on?
One of my favourite projects was designing varsity jackets for Five Guys a few months ago. You can see them in our office! I also love working with PepsiCo on their event merchandise—it’s always great to see our products in action.
Can you share a challenging project or problem you recently tackled?
Shipping projects globally can be quite challenging, especially post-Brexit with customs regulations. Transparency is key, so I always ensure clients understand the shipping process, potential issues, and what to expect. It’s essential to set realistic expectations rather than overpromising.
What do you get up to outside of work?
Travel is a big part of my life. Last year, my boyfriend and I aimed to visit 12 countries—actually, we ended up visiting 16! We’ve also explored a lot of Europe. We have a big trip to Australia planned for six weeks at the end of the year.
We’re also big camping fans, often going on spontaneous camping trips on hills overlooking the sea. Additionally, I’m an avid baker and love bringing sweet treats to the office. We always make sure our weekends are packed with activities. It’s all about making the most of every moment.
And now that the Premier League is back, I’m in my happy place! Football is a huge part of my life outside work. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of match day, whether I’m watching at home or cheering from the stands. It’s a great way to unwind and connect with friends over our love of the sport.
Abbi’s enthusiasm for life spills over into her work at Swag Pack. Her creative approach to merchandise solutions, problem-solving skills, and love for new experiences make her an invaluable part of our team.
